Vacancy Page - Coming Soon!
- Phone constantly pinging? WhatsApp Groups too busy? We hear you! ๐
- We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of our new Vacancy Page! This page will be your go-to place to take on regular students who are looking for a new tutor. This means that requests that were previously sent in the WhatsApp groups will now be posted to the Vacancy Page, helping to cut down on those notifications!
- The new Vacancy Page is coming very soon, so keep an eye ๐ out for another update with more details and instructions!
Tutoring Tips
- Once you have secured some regular students, don't forget about GoStudent's Regular Student Policies. Communicating diligently with the guardians of your students, being on time, and providing feedback are some of the ways that you can ensure continued success. ๐งโ๐
- While it is important to have fun and build rapport with your students, we also want to be sure we are setting up curated long term plans. Universal Backwards Design ๐จ is the approach whereby educators design lessons or full units by thinking ahead. Think about what the final outcomes should be and plan appropriate lessons and assessments from there. This will help you plan engaging lessons with a focus on student learning. - Keeping your students engaged ๐คธ is the secret weapon of any educator. Students are more inclined to learn from someone they enjoy being around. This will entail that you spice things up every now and then. Simply using worksheets may not always guarantee the best results. So try to incorporate fun games, activities, brain breaks, and reward systems so that your students will consistently look forward to their next lesson with you.
Transfer Fees ๐ฑ and CERTN Reimbursement
- Affected by a wire transfer fee in your monthly earnings? Please email proof of the deduction to paymentsca@gostudent.org and our payments team will include all the deductions that have affected your earnings in the following payout. You just need to send us proof ๐ต once and we will take into account the wire transfer fee in the following months.
- If you completed a background check directly through our provider Certn, you will also need to email paymentsca@gostudent.org to receive a reimbursement. Please send us the receipt and the payments team will make sure to reimburse you on your first payment. If we do not receive proof, the reimbursement will not be processed.
- Kindly note that both reimbursements mentioned above will be included under Adjustments in your payment for that month.
