Tutor Academy Learning Festival⚡

The Tutor Academy Learning Festival will be taking place from December 1st - 2nd. There will be sessions ongoing from 3am - 3pm EST on both dates! It is global, 2 day, online learning festival with talks, workshops, panel discussions and activities to support the development of every tutor on the platform 💪  There will be sessions about a wide variety of topics including: gamification, mindfulness, learning differences, and a talk from the GoStudent CEO Felix Oswald!

Tutor of the Year Awards 🏆

The Tutor of the Year Awards is a way for GoStudent to recognize and celebrate tutors. Without the tutors, we would not be able to achieve our mission of building the number one global school.

It's almost the ✨most wonderful time of the year✨!

With the holidays quickly approaching, here are some friendly reminders for you regarding pausing your account:

  • If you would like to pause your tutoring for a certain period of time, you will need to fill out the pausing form
  • Let your students know that you will be pausing and find try to find replacements for those sessions
  • Please the follow the steps below if you are giving up the student:

We've recently introduced some cool things here at GoStudent! Keep reading to see what they are!

GoClass

GoClass is a virtual classroom and a workspace where you can tutor, save and access all the work you are doing with your students. It has video, audio & screen sharing features as well as Google integration to share, create and upload documents. GoClass also has a collaborative whiteboard with several features: You can link the whiteboard to a tablet, use the lead mode for a focused session, and much more! 👩‍🚀🚀 We've recently launched a pilot of GoClass and we currently have around 15 tutors using the new platform!

Safety Centre

We have recently launched the GoStudent Safety Centre on the WebApp. The GoStudent Safety Centre is a dedicated page within the GoStudent WebApp which provides you and your students with an overview of GoStudent’s safeguarding procedures, safety guidelines, and contact details for local authorities in order to ensure that we are keeping everyone safe. We have also introduced a ‘Report’ button, which enables you to quickly and easily report any concerns directly to the GoStudent team.

Reminder about Earnings💸:

We are getting closer to the 3th of December! Please double and triple verify your earnings for the month of November. You can review them by going into:
Earnings >>Pervious Sessions on the WebApp and double check your earnings for the month.

Things to keep in mind:

  1. Payments for November 1st-30th are triggered by December 17th and can take 3-5 business days to land on your account. Only contact us for missing payments, if you have not received it after December 22nd.
  2. You will receive payment in December only if you have reached the $150 threshold in November or a cumulative of $150 from previous months.
  3. If you reported transaction fees or any other manual adjustments using the excel form during this payment cycle, they will show under *adjustments on the WebApp* closer to our payout date December 17th.
